Take A Leap

Happy Leap Day!
I hope you have all had a great one! And I hope all you Leap Day babies are celebrating!
6
My celebrating consisted of:
Talking a student out of missing P.E.
Cleaning up endless amounts of cupcakes and frosting.
Making copies and jamming the machine.
Having a dance party to J.B.
Running through the wind at recess with my kiddos, until a piece of bark flew into my eye.
Running around the University to turn in last minute Masters application pieces and scholarship applications (keep those fingers crossed).
Attending class with good friends.
Running through a freak blizzard.
Picking up transcripts from my old college.
Going to dinner with the Husband.
Homework.
and tea.

I guess you could say I made this leap day a useful one!

An everyday detail of mine:
I always jam out to rap in the morning on my way to work.
Jay Z, Tupac, Bone Thugs, Kanye… you name it cause they’re probably on my playlist.
There really is nothing like a little rap to get you pumped and feeling like you can take on whatever, whoever, whenever.
But today’s detail:
I jammed out to Celine Dion.
That alone explains it all, so I don’t really need to go too far into it with that one.

Jeans: Ross, Shirt: Thrifted, Jacket: Nordstrom Rack, Boots: Famous Footwear, Necklace: Gift
My favorite part of today’s attire?
The mix of textures up top!
The shirt is just a sheer lace material paired with a pleather jacket.
Turquoise is one of my favorite colors for just about anything right now. So keep an eye out for that one.

Let’s talk details again soon!

Time with the Dr.

An everyday detail of mine:

I always drink a smoothie in the morning courtesy of the Husband and the bullet.

But today’s detail:

I drank a dr. pepper instead, yep that’s right.
Breakfast of champions!

Colored denim is one of my favorites right now.
(apparently it’s really in for 6th graders at my work too, but I promise it’s really in for any age)
So try them, you won’t regret it!

Pants: Ross, Jacket: NPS, Shirt: Urban Blues, Shoes: Target, Necklace: NPS

These pants are a bright royal blue and I am a little bit obsessive about this color right now. I was feeling a little crazy so I paired them with cheetah print shoes. I love mixing colors and prints! So just keep that in mind as you look at my daily attire. Just keep an open mind and we will all be just fine.
Let’s talk details again soon!

Let’s Talk Details…

Oh, hello! My name is Lyndsey.
I am a special education teacher who teaches students with severe disabilities.
I am an over full time student about to begin her Graduate program.
I look forward to signing my name with a  “M.Ed”
I am a wife to a husband.
My days are planned and every minute is scheduled.
Sometimes that can be over the top frustrating.
I try to focus on the small details in my life that I do have control over.
Some days the only thing I get to plan all by myself is what I wear.
I love to shop, bargain shop that is…
I never pay full price for anything, unless, I need it (the husband would say I have a lot of needs).
We all have details in our lives that make us happy everyday… we just need to take the time to notice them.
__________
With that being said… let’s go ahead and kick off this blog!

A random detail: Sometimes when I am just crazy overwhelmed I laugh.. hard… and even though that laughing usually ends up turning into tears, it’s still a fun time. Try it.

Sunday’s are my favorite days, because they are oh so relaxing. And the Husband and I jump in our car and visit our families.
Sunday detail:
I usually don’t like snow. But we haven’t had much, so, the truth is… I love snow.
Did I really just say that?
Okay fine, I do. But…
The fluffy and silent kind.
Not the slushy and sticky kind.
Skirt: Nordstrom rack, Shirt: NPS, Blazer: Shade, Necklace: NPS
So there you have it, an intro of who I am and a look into the one thing I control… my wardrobe!
Let’s talk details again soon.
